Canon New Zealand Photo Contest 2012




This competition is open to all tertiary students currently studying photography and assistant photographers within New Zealand.

Your submission will need to include:
A selection of four original photographic images of professional quality created after 01/01/2012.
Explain in 500-1000 words what your brief for your portfolio was, and what, and who inspires you as an emerging photographer.
Confirmation of eligibility from your photography institute or current photographic employer by way of entry application form.

The overall winner will receive:
$4,000 Canon dollars (RRP incl GST) to spend on any Canon Digital SLR, lenses, Canon printer and/or Canon photo paper and inks (direct from Canon)
Canon PIXMA Pro 9500 Mark II Printer RRP $1599
$1,000 cash
An experience day with three Canon EYEcon mentor photographers (flights and accommodation included)

Second place will receive:

Organisation/institute of first place photographer will receive:
$2,000 Canon dollars (RRP incl GST) to spend on any Canon Digital SLR, lenses, Canon printer and/or Canon photo paper or inks (direct from Canon)

Copyright and usage of your entry: Entrants must be the legal copyright owner of photographic works entered and copyright of the work remains with the holder. Canon New Zealand, reserve the right to use the photographs and reproduce illustrations of selected works for publicity specifically relating to Canon EYEcon for a period of two years after the event. Any photo used in the publicity of Canon EYEcon that is not from the winning portfolios will be paid $100NZ dollars in return for the use of the photo. The photographer will be noted against all photos used. Any other use will need to be agreed in writing with copyright holder.
