Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2012
Entries are open for the 2012 Scottish Nature Photography Awards – celebrating nature, wildlife and landscape photography in Scotland.
The competition for the title of Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2012 is open to amateur and professional photographers over 18 years of age.The categories are:
Scottish Wildlife (Wildlife Portrait, Wildlife Behaviour), Scottish Landscape (Sea & Coast, The Land, Urban Greenspace), Scottish Botanical, Natural Abstract, Environmental.
If you are under 18 years of age, you can take part in the Junior competition to find Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2012, by entering up to 5 photographs on any Scottish nature subject.
Full or part-time Students (over 18 years of age) undertaking a photography element in their course can compete for the title of Student Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2012 by entering a portfolio of 3 images on a single nature theme.
Eligibility: Entries are welcome from around the world, but all images entered must have been photographed in Scotland.
Entry Fee: £5.00 per category. This automatically includes 1 image entry to that category. You can enter as many categories as you want.

You only need to pay the fee for each category you are entering ONCE.
If you wish to enter more images, the additional fees are as follows:
5 extra images £5.00
10 extra images £10.00
15 extra images £15.00
20 extra images £20.00
25 extra images £25.00
Prizes: Prizes to 3rd place in each category including a variety of holiday breaks, personal guided tour and workshop prizes, gift vouchers, bespoke artwork, books, magazine subscriptions, and giclee prints. Personalised engraved glass awards for category winners. Winning images will be included in a Touring Exhibition. Winning and shortlisted images will feature in a Portfolio Yearbook.

Main competition: Maximum entry is all 5 categories + 25 extra images
Junior competition: 5 images
Student competition: Portfolio of 3 images
Copyright and Usage of Entry: By submitting images to the Scottish Nature Photography Awards, each entrant confirms that the photographer of each entry and that it is their original work and they own the copyright and any rights of each image.
By entering the competition, you grant Scottish Nature Photography Awards a free, non-exclusive, irrevocable international licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the shortlisted and winning images for any purpose directly connected with the competition.
