GENERAL RULES
The contest opens 16 September 2012, at midnight (12:00:00 a.m.) U.S. Eastern Time and closes 16 December 2012, 11:59:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.  No entries received after that date shall be considered.
Eligibility: The contest is open to all photographers, with no restrictions based on age, gender or nationality. Minors are responsible for ensuring their submission is in compliance with the legal requirements of
their country.


Entry is free of charge.
Prizes: 
• First prize (as selected by judging panel) and the “People’s Choice” will be Nordfjord 300 liter Pack of pH Water Enhancing Sachets link and a 27 oz Stainless Steel Water Filter Bottle. View the e-Shop for details on these products.
• Second prizes will be Fjord 60 liter Pack of pH Water Enhancing Sachets link and a 27 oz Stainless Steel Water Filter Bottle – Standard. View the e-Shop for details on these products.
• Third prize will be a 27 oz Stainless Steel Bottle – Standard.
Photos must have been taken in the past 24 months, i.e. after 16 December 2010.
All entries not respecting the theme or the technical/authorship requirements set out below will be systematically ruled out.
Staff working for 60 Percent are not qualified to participate in the contest.




THE SUBMISSIONS
To enter, visit our website and complete an entry form with the required information and submit along with your photograph in accordance with the instructions that follow.
There will be one category open to all photographers.
All Photographs submitted should be interpretations on this water-themed quote by Lao Tzu “Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it”.
A maximum of three photos may be submitted.
Only images not yet published may be submitted. Photographers can publish their photos after the contest results are announced in January 2012.
Each image that is uploaded should include the following information:
Full name of photographer; location of photo; date photo was taken; include a caption of the photo, and
the full name of the person/people in the photo, if available.
Entries will not be returned to contestants.
Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. 60 Percent reserves the right to examine the original photograph/source material in order to confirm compliance with these rules.
PUBLIC VOTING
Voting is open to all with no restrictions based on age, gender or nationality. Minors are responsible for ensuring their submission is in compliance with the legal requirements of their country.
All voters are permitted to vote a maximum of 3 times per photo. Once by email, once via Facebook and once via Twitter.
Any person wishing to vote are required to submit their email address for voter tracking and prize giving purposes.
All voters have a chance of winning prizes. For every 200 votes a winner will be selected by random. Winners will be contacted via email address provided.
Any person(s) deemed to have submitted more than 3 votes per photo will render all their votes null and void, and will be disqualified.
MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Only digital photos, in colour and black-and-white, will be accepted.
Digital submissions should be a minimum size of 3,000 pixels in length at 300 dpi non-interpolated (approximately a 20-meg file when opened in Photoshop). File sizes of over 512KB will not be accepted.
You can submit photo files in the following formats: JPEG, PNG and GIF.
No photo should in any way be digitally altered or enhanced except for basic cropping or colour correction. The content and context of the image should in no way be altered or enhanced.
Copyright: The copyright of submitted and winning photos will be owned by the participating photographers. Contest photographers will be able to use their photos, which they retain the copyright to, in their print and online portfolios, exhibitions, books and other publications and to disseminate – including sell – their photos to interested clients. They will be identified as the authors of the photos.
By entering the Contest, all entrants grant an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to 60 Percent, to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit) in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, in any media now or hereafter known, including, but not limited to: Display at a potential exhibition of winners; publication of book, promotion, publicity, news, informational education or awareness usage relating to 60 Percent. Entrants consent to the Sponsor doing or omitting to do any act that would otherwise infringe the entrant’s “moral rights” in their entries. Additionally, by entering, each entrant grants to Authorized Parties the unrestricted right to use all statements made in connection with the Contest, and pictures or likenesses of Contest entrants, or choose not to do so, at their sole discretion. Authorized Parties will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.
