Copyright and usage of Images: Each participant shall ensure that he/she owns all the rights to the photo submitted, Photographs submitted and the associated data will be stored in a special database. Participants must declare that they agree to the use and storage of their data solely for the purposes of the organisation of and communications in connection with this photo competition.

All participants shall grant Nik Software GmbH non-exclusive rights, unrestricted in terms of geographical location, time or content, with regard to the processing and use of the photographs submitted for the purposes of reporting on the competition (irrespective of the media used, and therefore including print, online and social media, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and public-relations activities relating to the competition.

The winners are determined through the public voting and the jury that consists of the six pro photographers patronizing Nik Focused and one Nik Software staff member.
