UK Insect Photography Competition
The theme for the Competition this year is Great British Insects. We’re delighted that this year’s Competition is being sponsored by Olympus who, together with the Royal Entomological Society, are providing some fantastic prizes.
Eligibility: UK only,
Entrants under-18:
- First prize: Olympus digital SH-25MR camera and £300;
- Second prize: Olympus digital VR-340 camera and £150.
Entrants 18-or-over:
- First prize: Olympus photographic equipment of your choice to a value of £500;
- Second prize: Olympus photographic equipment of your choice to a value of £250.
There’s also a bonus category, sponsored by one of our key partners, the Riverfly Partnership, for the best Great British Riverfly Photographs.
The three 1st prize-winning images will be published in the Royal Entomological Society’s bulletin Antenna.
Copyright: You grant the Competition organisers and prize-sponsors a free non-exclusive licence to use the image(s) in their corporate promotion, publicity and publications, and in any promotional material connected to this competition. The copyright remains with you as the photographer, and your name will be credited if the image is used.
The deadline for entries is 31 October 2012, and winners will be announced in November.
