We want to see what the British coastline means to you, so pack your camera when you visit the seaside this summer and then enter your best images in the Coast Photography Competition. The categories are: 1 Landscapes from salt marshes to sea cliffs, the UK coastline is a nature photographer’s dream. 2 Portraits artists at work, fishermen mending nets, daytrippers enjoying an ice cream… coastal people’s lives offer many subjects to catch on camera. 3 Holidays our seas and shores are playgrounds for beach and water sports, while seaside resorts host festivals and events. Can you capture that holiday feeling? 4 Young photographer if you or yours are under 18, enter any coastal-themed image taken at the British seaside.

Prizes: Overall prize for the most impressive photograph out of the first three category winners – 500 UK Sterling to spend on photographic equipment at Olympus. Category prizes The winners of the three categories Landscapes, Portraits and Holidays will each get an Olympus PEN E-PL3 camera, worth 549.99 UK Sterling. Young photographer Olympus TOUGH TG-620 camera, worth 229.99 UK Sterling.

Copyright: All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.

Entrants will retain copyright in the photographs that they submit to Blenheim Palace. By entering the competition all entrants grant to Blenheim Palace the right to publish and exhibit their photographs on Blenheim Palace and Studio8’s websites and any other associated promotional and marketing material. Entrants whose photographs are one of the Finalists or selected to appear in Blenheim Palace/Studio8‘’s marketing channels including web and print pursuant to paragraph 11 above grant to Blenheim Palace (including other publishers authorised by Blenheim Palace) the further rights to publish and exhibit their photographs in print, on their respective websites or in any other media. Should Blenheim Palace choose to create products from the finalists photos we will contact the owner of the image and discuss any commercial rights and fees at that time. Entrants whose photographs are one of the finalists also agree to take part in post-competition publicity. While we make every effort to credit photographers, including in printed reproductions of their work, we cannot guarantee that every use of the photographs will include photographers’ names.
