Prizes
Photographer of the Year (Professional Section): Solo Exhibition in the Borges Cultural Center in Buenos Aires in June 2013 (WPGA will be min charge of the venue, opening reception and catalog; artist should send framed prints ready to hang, or send high res files to WPGA who will print and frame at the artist’s expense). Photographer of the Year (Non-Professional Section): Collective Exhibition, jointly with 2-3 runner ups in this section, in the Borges Cultural Center in Buenos Aires in June 2013 (WPGA will be in charge of the venue, opening reception and catalog; artists should send framed prints ready to hang, or send high res files to WPGA who will print and frame at the artists’ expense).

Copyright: All participants of the WPGA competitions warrant that they own the work submitted and they have exclusive copyright. WPGA recognizes that the authors retain full ownership of the image
copyright.
Usage of Entry Participants warrant that their photographs may be reproduced for the purpose of marketing and promoting WPGA contests, in catalogues, posters, postcards, publications, and on the Internet. Such use is granted for not more than two years after the announcement of the awards, and without payment to the photographer or featured models. Photographers will receive photo credits with each use, and will allow WPGA to sub-license their photographs to the press for reproduction in connection with the contest and WPGA exhibitions.

WIN A SOLO EXHIBITION. The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards invites professional and non-professional photographers, as well as photography students worldwide, working in all media and to submit their work to the 4th Edition of The WPGA Annual Pollux Awards. Traditional, contemporary, avant-garde, creative and experimental works that include old and new processes, mixed techniques, and challenging personal, emotional or political statements are welcome. Digital or traditional photography or combinations of both are acceptable.
Submissions are accepted only online. The juror for this year’s Award is the Indian Photographer Dilip
Bhatia (www.dilipbhatia.com). Based in Mumbai, India, Dilip Bhatia is an alumni of the Brooks Institute of Photography. After topping the class of 1992, he joined the Playboy Studio, and once back in India he has set up ‘D studio n Gallery’ one of the most premium commercial photo studio in the heart of South Mumbai, Now in its 16th year of operation. He has freelanced for all the top most advertising agencies throughout India, and has contributed in giving shape to thousands of layout’s for various brands. The Indian Film Industry is another area where there has been deep involvement in fashion, the right look and premium imagery. He recently won the WPGA portrait Award juried by Steve McCurry; was Photographer of the year 2011 at the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris; finalists of the Hasselblad Master of Photography 2010, and Photographer of the Year of the first edition of the Pollux Awards in 2009.
General Submission Rules:
1. Photographs can be submitted to different categories in separate sections (Pro and non Pro), in both Portfolio and Single Image.
2. Any image or series can be submitted in more than one category.
3. Images and series that have already received awards in previous WPGA competitions cannot participate, but previously submitted works that have not been awarded prizes in previous WPGA competitions are welcome to participate. Nominated as finalists in previous competitions are also able to participate.
