To be in with a chance of winning this priceless opportunity, we want you to show us your Best Portrait Image. It doesn’t have to be a studio shot but it does need to prove that you love capturing images of people and would make the most of the unique opportunity to get inside advice from one of the best photographers in the business. Practical Photography will also be on hand to help out and record the event for a future issue too.

World We Live Photo Contest

The World We Live In 2012 Photo Contest

New contest started by two Leading Canadian photography magazines, Photo Life and Photo Solution,the contest have two categories and three themes, winners will get approx $35,000 in prizes, including travel vouchers, digital cameras and lenses, photo bags and many other items of photo gear for both the professional and the amateur. Entry fee of the contest start from $5 for Amateur and $7 for Pro-Photographers, the last date to enter in the contest is Nov 30, 2011.

The world we live in is in constant evolution. Climatic, economic and social changes each have a great impact on our environment and on our personal lives. With The World We Live In, Photo Life and Photo Solution magazines invite photographers from all walks of life to capture images of people, cultural diversity, breathtaking landscapes as well as environmental statements, and to share their vision of the world.

Participants are invited to submit their images through a simple on-line interface. Participation fees are required, with special rates for subscribers. The submission deadline is November 30.

Eligibility: The Contest is open to residents of Canada and The United States, 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry

Prizes: Winning images will be selected by a jury composed of photographic industry professionals. Winners will be awarded prizes valued at more than $35,000, including travel vouchers, digital cameras and lenses, photo bags and many other items of photo gear for both the professional and the amateur. A total of 20 prizes will be awarded; within each category of Pro and Amateur, there will be three for each theme and one Grand Prize.

The World We Live In, in either the Pro or Amateur categories, under three themes: Humanity, The Environment, and Our Interconnected World.

Apex Publications Inc. reserves publication rights of winning images in its magazines (including covers) and electronic medias, as well as for possible use in future promotional material of the Contest, including other types of publications and advertising material. All photos will be credited to the photographer.
