Sigma UK – Spirit of Sport Photo Contest
The Spirit of Sport competition is all about capturing some great shots which show what sporting events mean to you – the people, the atmosphere and the celebrations.
Running in the UK from now until 31st August, photographers are invited to submit up to five images capturing the spirit of sporting events in your local area over the summer.

Prizes: There are two top prizes to win – the overall winner of the judges’ vote will win a Sigma SD1 Merrill system worth £2149, including the 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM lens, whilst 20 runners up will be entered into a Facebook competition to win the new Sigma DP2 Merrill, worth £799.
Copyright and usage of your images: Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. Winning and shortlisted images may be used by Sigma free of charge for publicity purposes in connection with this competition without notice for a duration of no more than five years and will be credited if used.
Closing date for entries is the 31st August 2012.
