Travel Photographer of the Year has a wide range of categories, giving entrants the maximum opportunity to expose their work to a global audience.
There are three portfolio categories: People Watching, Wild Planet and Journeys; two single shot categories, One Shot and First Shot, the latter aimed at beginners and those looking for a first break in photography.
The New Talent and Young Photographer of the Year categories are also hoping to encourage submissions from exciting new photographers. What’s more, 2012 also sees the launch of a Travel Shorts HD video category and a Condé Nast Traveller award, with the winner securing a commission with the best-selling UK travel magazine. Fujifilm will also be providing prizes for the majority of the categories, rewarding winners for their remarkable efforts.
Eligibility: Worldwide, 19+
Entry fees: The entry fee for each portfolio category is £15. The entry fee for New Talent, Condé Nast Traveller Award and the HD Video category is £20. The entry fee for One Shot and First Shot is £10 per category, and Young TPOTY is free to enter.

Copyright and usage of images: The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all images entered.
TPOTY does not make any claim whatsoever on the copyright of YOUR images. The copyright will, at all times, be respected by TPOTY and retained by the photographer. Where an image or images are reproduced by TPOTY, the photographer will be credited. The organisers and sponsors reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of entered images in all media, but only in connection with these awards. A selection of the winning and other best images will be reproduced in TPOTY portfolio books and exhibition catalogue.
