XXII TIPA AWARDS (2012)

The annual meeting of the Technical Image Press Association to vote for the best photographic and imaging products in 2012 was held on 24 March 2012 in Cape Town, South Africa.

This year at the TIPA General Assembly 29 member magazines and the Camera Journal Press Club (CJPC) of Japan voted for the best product in each category. The General Assembly selected the best photo and imaging products in 2012 in 40 categories.

TIPA has member magazines from nine European countries plus Australia, Canada, China, South Africa and the USA.

Copyright and Usage of your entry
Entrants must possess the exclusive rights to each entered work and are responsible for having obtained any necessary permission relating to each submitted photograph. The Organizer will not be responsible for any claims or complaints against infringement of rights or damages from third parties relating to the submissions made by the entrants, and the entrant agrees to indemnify and hold the Organizers harmless in such cases.

Win a trip to the United States valued at €4000 with the American Tourister (=AT) “WHERE i’M AT” photo contest. Charm the American Tourister team with a surprising photo, and become one of four lucky winners.

How to Win Your Trip to the US Entering the competition is easy: upload your best and most creative holiday picture, and fill out the title “i’M AT…” with the location of your picture. For example, you could upload a picture of you surfing in Spain with the title “i’M AT Spain surfing the waves”, and enter your picture in the Adrenalin category.

Over five periods, American Tourister will award one photo in each of the four different categories of the competition (Friendship, Peace of Mind, Nature and Adrenalin) with the highly coveted American Tourister badges. All pictures should be travel related.
The entrant can submit up to 5 pictures in each Period indicating for each picture the category of his/her choice.

Aspiring and professional photographers and anyone who is happiest behind the lens of their camera will have a chance to express their passion for photography during Canon South Africa’s Photographic Competition launching on 15 August 2012. There are over R150 000 worth of prizes to be won, making it one of the biggest and certainly the most creative photographic competitions ever run by Canon South Africa.

Selected entries will be exhibited online on Canon SA’s Expo website (www.csaexpo.co.za) as well as on the expo’s Facebook site (search Canon SA Expo on FB).
